American Design & Contracting, LLC Landscape Crew Member in Albany, New York
7 Landscape Crew Members needed for permanent, full-time employment.Job Duties: Landscape and maintain grounds of commercial and residential properties with year-round contracts using landscaping hand and power tools, including lawnmower (walk behind and rider), edger, trimmer, backpack blower, wheelbarrow, shovel, rake, broom, hedge pruner, saw, and chain saw. Mow, trim, edge, spread dirt, rake, mulch, pull weeds, and aerate lawns. Set up irrigation systems, drainage systems and mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Lay topsoil and sod, plant and prune flowers, shrubs and trees from the ground. Load and unload landscaping materials and tools and keep them clean. Lay decorative stones. During the Winter months, lay winter sod and perform specific and specialized winter rejuvenation pruning for shrubs and plants. Adjust irrigation system for Winter months. Perform winter lawn cleanups and remove debris. Perform snow removal services for commercial and residential properties using snow blowers, shovels, snowplows (trucks with plow attached to the front) and spread salt and/or ice melt on walkways and driveways using salt spreaders. May put up seasonal decorations.The employer will provide on-the-job training. The employer will provide all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no charge. Requirements: Various Worksites: Employer will provide daily transportation to and from the main office to job sites in Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Saratoga, and Warren counties.Wages/Terms: $19.01/hr., and $28.52/hr. for OT. 40 hours per week.
