Position: IT Specialist ExpertLocation: State Offices Harriman Campus, Building 12, Albany, NY 12240Pay Rate: $55 to $58 per hourSchedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM 5:30 PM (Starting time is negotiable), 50% On-Site, mandatory no exceptionsJob Description:This position will assist in supporting critical Department of Labor (DOL) operational functions focused on the development and optimization of DOL Data Management processes, respond to critical requests, and assist in the transition of legacy processes to the Worker Protection Consolidation Project.Mandatory Qualification:84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.Responsibilities:Automating ETL code migration process and standardsStop/start servicesMonitoring logsSetting up securityAssigning rolesProject permissionsCreating/Deleting projectsCreating/Modifying environmental parametersPlatform issue resolutionTroubleshooting and root cause analysisConfiguration and tuning of production and lower-level environmentsRequested Qualifications:72 Months ETL development experience in Oracle environment with IBM DataStage84 Months ETL design/Data Warehouse development experience using SQL and PL/SQL programming84 Months Experience tuning SQL within an Oracle environment to improve timely and efficient execution of queries84 Months UNIX Shell Scripting experience60 Months Experience in program and unit testing60 Months Experience in program code documentation, mentoring, and assisting other developers60 Months Experience working with PPI and SSA data security requirements (working with data contained in Employee Records in a State Agency, Federal Agency, or Private Organization) for production system error diagnosis, debugging, and code modification84 Months Experience developing dimensional data models for Cognos data analytics84 Months Experience developing data analysis and metrics queries for operational oversight84 Months DataStage Administrator experience on AIX environments
