NON-EMERGENCY VAN DRIVERS A TRANSIT BUS DRIVER IS A PROFESSIONAL WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR TRANSPORTING PASSENGERS IN A VAN OR SMALL BUS. THE DRIVER TYPICALLY FOLLOWS A SET ROUTE OR SCHEDULE AND MAY MAKE MULTIPLE STOPS ALONG THE WAY TO PICK UP OR DROP OFF PASSENGERS. Must be 21 years old. Clean driving record for the last 3 years. Must know what state the candidate was born in.

Job Summary: A transit bus driver is a professional who is responsible for transporting passengers in a van or small bus. The driver typically follows a set route or schedule and may make multiple stops along the way to pick up or drop off passengers.

Job Responsibilities: Provide safe and efficient transportation for passengers. Operate the bus/van on scheduled times, following a pre-determined route. Pick up passengers on dispatched request for transportation. Operate the van/bus on scheduled activities. Conduct a pre-trip and post- trip inspection of the vehicle each day. Check for vehicle damages, monitor oil change requirements, etc. Report any issues with the vehicle to the supervisor. Complete maintenance requests. Fuel bus/van at the end of each shift and throughout the day as necessary. Clean the inside of the bus/van at the end of each daily operation. Behave in a courteous and respectful manner. Treat others with respect. Maintain all necessary records. Follow all established safety policies and procedures. Follow all DOT guidelines and rules of the road. All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: To be a transit bus/van driver, individuals need to have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. They should also have good communication skills and be able to follow instructions and adhere to traffic laws and regulations. Transit bus/van drivers should also be able to work independently and be responsible and reliable. Maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance. Must wear closed toed shoes. Ability to complete required training and certifications after employment. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, push and/or pull. Must follow all rules of the roadway. Experience is preferred. Basic computer knowledge is preferred. Ability to safely and correctly operate equipment.
