Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Structural Engineer (Hospital Buildings experience) to join our team in the Staff Village accommodation and amenities for the support a population of 20,000 Amaala staff and their families., between Alwajh and Duba, KSA.

In this role you will get to perform a wide variety of conventional and moderately complex Structural assignments by applying Structural design standards, practices, and techniques.

Reporting to : Resident Engineer.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • In addition to usual structural supervision tasks, checking structural analysis, design, shop drawings, material approval, and as built- drawings.

  • Leading site Engineers, surveyor, and inspectors.

  • Coordinate structural design engineering activities with those of other disciplines and the project engineering and management teams.

  • Provide technical advice to other Engineering Department Sections and Units and other Departments.

  • Prepare technical specifications and scope of work descriptions.

  • Perform field inspections and provide field support and troubleshooting during the construction process.

  • Prepare design concepts.

  • Provide value engineering.

  • Review contractor’s submittals and RFIs and provide technical feedback.

  • Review changes proposed by contractor and assess them against approved design.

Key Relationships:

  • Supervision Received - Higher-level Engineers, Supervising Engineer, Project Engineer;

  • Discipline Engineering Manager

  • Supervision Given - CAD Drafter/Designers; Designers; Lower-level Engineers

  • (technical guidance only)

  • Internal Contacts - All employees on project

  • External Contacts - Suppliers; Clients

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural is required with typically 10+ years of relevant experience in Hospital projects.

  • Requires proficiency in the application of Structural design standards, practices, and techniques, as well as a demonstrated proficiency in sketching and presentation drawing.

  • Proficiency in use of Etabs, Sap, Safe, Staad and CAD, or other software packages.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Fluent in English.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
