Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Contracts Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to work in major Construction Projects and provide your expertise in all Contractual matters .

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Administering multiple contracts for construction projects in Consultant Teams with PMCM and PMCM-CS Management roles.

  • Provides contractual guidance to the Project Team and ensures proficiency and timeliness of contract administration.

  • Supports in the negotiation of the more difficult, complex, or sensitive issues with Client and Contractors.

  • Performing contract administration tasks, including monitoring compliance and managing changes or amendments.

  • Evaluating claims and facilitating dispute resolution processes.

  • Developing and implementing claims procedures to ensure timely and fair handling of all contractual issues.

  • Preparing contractual correspondence, such as notices, letters, and reports.

  • Advising clients on contractual matters, providing expert guidance on contract terms, conditions, and interpretations

  • Assessing contractor's payment applications to ensure accuracy and compliance with contract terms.

  • Assessing contract variations, including reviewing proposed changes for potential impacts on project scope, schedule or budget.

  • Preparing variations to the contract in line with project requirements or client requests.

  • Managing the approval process for contract variations to ensure all necessary approvals are obtained before implementation.

  • Preparing memorandums related to contract variations for approval purposes.

  • Providing regular updates to the Client and Team about any contractual issues or developments.

  • Conducting risk assessments related to contracts and proposing mitigation strategies.

  • Collaborating with other departments such as finance, legal, procurement etc. in relation to contracts management tasks.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Required Qualification: BSc degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

  • Should be Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).

  • Required Experience: 12+ years overall post graduate experience with 6 years prime contracts management (including claims and disputes), preferably in the gulf/middle east. Should have experience in the similar capacity with PMCM or consultancy firms supporting for large scale projects.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Administration of multiple contracts forms.

  • English language proficiency.

  • Working knowledge of FIDIC and other international standards, pre- and post-award contract administration.

  • Familiar with civil and common law is a plus.

  • Extensive experience with tendering, contract administration, negotiation, evaluation of high value claims, dispute resolution, arbitration. Preferably Middle East experience.

  • Ability to work as part of specialist team, work with minimal supervision.

  • Proven ability to perform management capacity.

  • First class interpersonal, negotiation, report writing and communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of software typically associated with contract administration.

  • Organized, effective problem solving and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to, working with minimal supervision,

  • Experience of administering multiple contracts at any one time.

  • Interpreting contracts and dealing with variations, conflicts, claims, disputes, and other contractual issues.

  • Ability to multi-task and able to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a specialist consultant team.

  • Meticulous and positive work attitude.
