Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mechanical BIM Engineer to join our team.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical BIM engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and managing mechanical BIM models and producing accurate and high-quality construction documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Professionally develop and maintain mechanical BIM models using Revit software.

  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate and efficient project completion.

  • Create accurate and detailed design drawings and models along with other construction documentation for mechanical systems.

  • Perform clash detection analysis and provide solutions to mitigate conflicts.

  • Review and coordinate design changes with project managers and other engineers.

  • Ensure compliance with company and industry standards, as well as local and national codes and regulations.

  • Participate in design meetings and provide technical expertise as needed.

  • Prepare and present project progress reports to design managers.

  • Provide training and support to junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance project outcomes and team performance.

  • Act as a mentor and role model to junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Must have Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. This will provide you with the foundational knowledge necessary to excel in this role.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the mechanical engineering / construction field BIM modelling are required. This should cover the different types of projects both in design stages and construction stages.

  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software is required. We rely heavily on these tools to complete our work, so it is essential that the candidate have a deep understanding of them.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate will be working closely with other members of the team where the ability to communicate effectively is critical.

  • The ability to work independently with minor guidance.
