CHILDRENS HOSPITAL MEDICAL CENTER OF AKRON Team Leader Provider Liaison in Akron, Ohio

Full Time 40 Hours/Week Variable Day Shift Travel Required On-Call Required Hybrid, Onsite 2 days/week Summary: The Provider Liaison is responsible for reactive and proactive support, training, and instruction of physician/provider users on functions, features, operation, and usage of clinical information systems. Responsibilities: 1. Provides "at the elbow" and remote phone/system provider support on a day-to-day basis for the clinical inpatient and ambulatory care areas. 2. Acts as the liaison between Information Technology and providers to provide an understanding of the various clinical system's capabilities as well as opportunities for improvement (i.e. optimizations, enhancements and new systems). 3. Works ongoing as a liaison with multiple assigned departments/groups. 4. Develops and maintains an excellent working knowledge of Akron Children's Hospital IT and IT interoperability issues and opportunities. 5. Works closely with CMIO, IT Directors/Managers, CIO, Department Heads, Medical Staff Office and other VPs, etc. in the development and implementation of ongoing support and training of providers. 6. Other duties as required. Other information: Technical Expertise 1. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required. 2. Experience in healthcare is preferred. 3. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Education and Experience 1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred. 2. Certification: None. 3. Years of relevant experience: 3 to 5 years is preferred. 4. Years of experience supervising: None.
