PRN/Per Diem Variable Shifts/Hours Must be entering junior or senior year of BSN program or final year of ADN program. Summary: Position Summary: The Nurse Technician I assists in patient/family education and in the delivery of individual care for a group of patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities: 1. Assists in delivering individual care for a group of patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse. 2. Assists in patient/family education capabilities and under the direction of a licensed nurse. 3. Contributes to the assessment of individual patient care. 4. Contributes to the delivery of patient care. 5. Participates in the educational efforts of the department and the nursing unit. 6. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age and developmental status. 7. Other duties as required. Other information: Technical Expertise N/A Education and Experience Education: Must currently be enrolled in a baccalaureate accredited registered nursing program as a junior or senior or enrolled in the second year of an accredited associate degree in nursing program. Certification: Current Health Care Provider BLS training from the American Heart Association is required. Years of relevant experience: None required; some healthcare experience is preferred.
