Full Time, 40 Hours/Week Remote with Onsite Requirements as Need Applicant must reside in OH or PA at the time of offer Summary: The Senior Biostatistician role at Akron Children's Rebecca D. Considine Research Institute will play a pivotal role in producing high-quality research. The Senior Biostatistician should be highly skilled and will be instrumental in empowering Principal Investigators (PIs) to develop robust study protocols in all areas of research within the hospital and conduct advanced statistical analyses. Additionally, they will provide mentoring for new researchers and offer their expertise in creating a program of research. Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with PIs to design and develop statistically sound study protocols, ensuring methodological rigor. Provide expert guidance on statistical analysis plans and methodologies for research projects. Conduct complex statistical analyses using software such as SAS, R, or Python. Lead the development of analytical plan for the research protocols, grant applications, and manuscripts for publication. Mentor and guide junior biostatisticians, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret study results and provide actionable insights. Stay current with advancements in statistical methodologies and contribute to the adoption of innovative approaches within the research department. Ensure the quality and integrity of research data through comprehensive data validation and cleaning procedures. Assist in the preparation of statistical aspects of regulatory submissions, as needed. Participates in general staff meetings, study-specific meetings, and committees within the organization as required. Develop educational materials and presentations for fellow, residents, students and staff throughout the organization, as needed. Other information: Technical Expertise: 1. Proficiency in statistical software such as SAS, R, or Python. 2. Proven expertise in designing and implementing statistical methodologies for complex research studies. 3. Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate statistical concepts to non-statistical audiences. 4. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in mentoring junior team members. 5. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Education and Experience: 1. Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics, or related field required. 2. Proven 5+ years of experience in biostatistical analysis within a research or academic setting is expected. 3.
