Material Engineer (FEA) - Akron, OH - JOB 24-00330 Pay: $90K - $120K Permanent Position with Benefits The job requires a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) specialist to predict tire operation performance in support of tire development programs and virtual tire submissions to vehicle original equipment customers using company tools and advancing these tools. Requirements • 2 years of recent FEA experience, preferably with Abaqus • Master's degree in Mechanical or related engineering field with finite element methods course work required. • Supporting tire product development engineers and vehicle OE customers with tire performance investigations and analysis • implementing existing company FEA tools and technologies • Contributing to their capability advancement • Collaborating with company technical personnel as necessary • Regularly documenting and communicating with deliverables in the form of written reports and presentations • Experience with Linux and Windows desktop operating systems • Proficiency with MS/Office or similar document tools • Computer coding skills using general-purpose software • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work in local and international collaborative team environments.
