Aerotek Electrical Assembler| in Akron, Ohio

We are hiring for: Mechanical and Electrical Assembler

Akron, OH

Pay range: $20 to $25 per hour with a first shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Job Description

Mechanical Assembler $20-25HR : You will be responsible for assembling fabricated parts into larger subassemblies and completed units. You will also perform testing and calibration on parts to ensure they meet tolerances and specifications. Tasks include operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and scissor lifts, using basic hand and power tools like wrenches, drills, pliers and impacts. You will also read and understand drawings and prints to assemble units per correct specifications. Additional duties involve assisting in building shipping pallets and shrink wrapping finished units to be ready for shipping and performing other production duties as assigned.

  • 2+ years’ experience in the mechanical assembly field

  • Ability to accurately and quickly read a tape measure

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints for assembly

  • Experience using basic hand and power tools for assembly

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly

Wireman/Electrical Assembler $20-25HR: you will be responsible for assembling and installing electrical components and control devices into custom-built equipment. Your typical day will include assembling electrical components and control devices to large subassemblies and completed units, performing basic wiring of simple circuits, using basic power tools, reading electrical schematics to ensure units meet specifications, and preparing units for shipping.

  • 2+ years’ experience in the electrical assembly / wiring field

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics

  • Ability to accurately and quickly read a tape measure

  • Experience using hand and power tools for assembly

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly

Work Site: This is a fully on-site position in Akron, Ohio.
