Volt is immediately hiring for a Sr. Controls Engineer *in *Spokane, WA.

As a* Controls Engineer *you will:

  • Prepare detailed designs based on written specifications of desired machinery function. This includes panel designs, wiring schematics, and instrumentation layout.
  • Support Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Assembly as required.
  • Prepare Specifications, BOM's and Cost Estimates for customer driven requirements.
  • Provide in field and phone support for Service-related activities. Travel up to 25% may be required.
  • Work within design teams to ensure project performance deadline and budget commitments are met.
  • Troubleshoot problems occurring during development, assembly, testing, or commissioning of machinery.
  • Provide engineering support for product lifecycle management and other processes as assigned.

This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a professional role.
  • 5 years PLC, HMI, Servo control and Integration experience, programing Allen Bradley Logix PLCs and PanelView Plus HMI's preferred.
  • 3 years AutoCAD experience. AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred.
  • 3 years robotic integration experience
  • Proficient in conceptualizing, designing, validating, refining, and implementing control systems for secondary packaging equipment, delivering high-quality control system designs with precision and accuracy.
  • Skilled in programming and configuring Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
  • Capable of preparing detailed electrical drawings, including panel layouts, wiring schematics, and instrumentation layouts
  • Advanced skills in integrating and programming robotics within the control system.
  • Familiarity with robotic systems, with specific experience in FANUC.
  • Demonstrates a profound understanding of engineering processes and their implications on overall company processes.
  • Proficient in identifying and resolving issues during the development, assembly, testing or commissioning of controls systems.

Salary: $96,000 - $130,000 per year.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
