Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Collect samples from concrete or aggregate plants
  • Performs and records aggregate gradations
  • Performs field tests for concrete performance
  • Process samples using a variety of testing equipment and procedures
  • Promptly communicate with supervisors on any flaws in material.
  • Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
  • Record data and enter information into computer systems
  • Communicate with plant staff and customers
  • Travel to and from various sites
  • Performs general clean-up and maintenance duties as assigned
  • Routinely assist other members of the work force in different areas of production
  • Regular and timely attendance
  • Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Valid driver's license required. No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and no DUI's within the last year.

Demonstrates proficiency in basic mathematics and proficiency in Microsoft & PC programs.

Demonstrates excellent internal and external customer service skills.

Ability to obtain A.C.I. Concrete Technician certification, Concrete Strength Testing certification, and all applicable WAQTC certifications.
