Eaton Corporation Production Supervisor in Aguascalientes, Mexico

Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor.

What you’ll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

A. The Production Supervisor will provide leadership and direction for a production area within the plant. They will be responsible for performance with respect to safety & the environment, quality, on time delivery, continuous improvement, personnel development, and cost for his/her respective area.

B. They will be the first-line contact between production employees and the management staff and will be expected to represent the company when interacting with production employees on the shop floor. This person will be responsible for establishing a world class culture in Safety, Quality,

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A. Giving leadership direction to technicians, operators, engineers, and external suppliers.

B. Support the hiring of new employees (operators, technicians, etc.)

C. Conduct Daily Visual Management stand-up meeting with all department personnel in area of responsibility focusing on safety, quality, delivery, cost/productivity, and inventory.

D. Utilize lean six sigma methodologies to reduce operational costs, inventory and lead-times as well as ensure alignment with long-term manufacturing strategies.

E. Develop and establish manufacturing priorities based on the production schedule and monitor employee work requirements to meet customer deadlines.

F. Enforce and implement safety policies and programs, meet operating budgets, complete continuous improvement plans, and coach employees on behavior/performance issues and initiate disciplinary actions if required.

G. Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardize work processes are followed and countermeasures are implemented where necessary.

H. Ensure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully perform job.

I. Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.

J. Promotes the company’s vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.

K. Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.

Qualifications:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE.

A. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.

B 5 years of manufacturing experience

C. 5 years of experience in supervision.

D. Knowledge in IATE 16949 ISO 9001

E. Bilingual (Spanish/English)

F. Experience in Automotive Industry or Metal Mechanics
