Eaton Corporation Continuous Improvement Engineer in Aguascalientes, Mexico

Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer.

What you’ll do:

Primary Function:

Lead the deployment of the ELSS (Eaton Lean Six Sigma) and CIF (Continuous Improvement Framework) tools across the organization, in alignment with the Plant Manufacturing Strategy to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and financial targets for the site.

Take on an active role in defining and driving cost out initiatives to a successful outcome while working with diverse teams.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and participate in ELSS Kaizen events

  • Lead and participate in Cost out initiatives

  • Responsible of the Six Sigma strategy of the plant

  • Perform time studies for the analysis and improvement of operators cyclical work, eliminating fluctuations and no value added activities

  • Define the work sequence, time and SWIP based on the line Takt Time to ensure the standard work using the SW playbook according ELSS

  • Participate in OEE weekly meeting to contribute with actions and strategies for improvement

  • Participate in ELSS, CIF & OpA assessments. #LI-DG2

Qualifications:

Basic qualifications:

  • Industrial engineering, Mechanical engineering or equivalent experience required

  • 2 years in Continuous Improvement roles and experience with manufacturing processes

  • Knowledge of VSM for waste reduction or elimination, Basic problem solving (A3, 8Ds) and Lean tools (5s, SMED, TPM, Standard Work at least)

  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Framework (Leader Standard Work and Gemba Walks at least)

  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology

  • Knowledge of Standardized Work, Takt Time, Cycle times measurements and OEE measurement and analysis

Preferred:

  • Green Belt certification

  • ProModel or other simulation software (is a plus)

  • Power BI (is a plus)
