As a V&V Software Engineer you will contribute to a cross disciplinary team environment and will need to be able to design, develop, document, test, and debug systems for software design purposes. You will also thrive on tackling challenges, as the position requires the use of problem-solving skills in a hands-on work environment to address problems and implement appropriate design or process changes.

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.

What YOU will do:

  • You will measure and analyze software designs for equipment/products to ensure current and future needs of the business are met.

  • You will build and implement procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and functions.

  • You will operate equipment and computer systems for testing and software design purposes to facilitate operations and ensure that established objectives are achieved.

  • You will design, develop, document, test and debug control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

  • You will conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.

  • You will determine end user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition.

  • You will develop test procedures and code for various UNIX operating systems (Linux & others) and Windows.

    Education & Experience:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and 1-5 years prior relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 6-9 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications you must have:

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).

  • 2+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office, including word and excel, and Microsoft project, or other scheduling software.

  • Exposure to engineering and manufacturing processes and practices.

Skills we value:

  • Ability to read and understand technical processes.

  • Experience working with the shared support of engineering, operations, records and drafting.

  • Technical writing experience

  • Interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications

  • Experience with change management processes

  • Knowledge in CAD tools and equipment

  • Working knowledge in configuration management procedures

  • Proficient print reading and working knowledge of industry standards including, ASME/ANSY14

  • Experience in SAP, NX, TEAMCENTER, PLM & Configuration Management / Data Management
