Job Summary:

This position is for a Project Engineering professional working with limited support. Supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets, tracks progress, resolves problems, develops solutions, and forecasts project revenue. Coordinates with other functional organizations. Identifies and addresses project problems, analyzes data gathered, and develops solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meet deadlines and optimize performance. Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company and have availability to travel up to 10% Responsibilities Include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Integrated Product Team (IPT) to meet task and technical requirements and support the Integrated Product Team with planning and managing the budget for all hardware and tasks.

  • Tracks progress, identifies and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operations.

  • Prepare/present status and technical content to IPT Lead, ESTO Leadership, CIPT & upper Pratt & Whitney management.

  • Work closely with the Integrated Product Team and authorities on hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvements.

  • Evaluate product improvement opportunities and initiate Class 2 engineering change executions for those initiatives

  • Coordinate evaluation and disposition of quality non-conformances and supplier requests for information.

  • Support the Integrated Product Team in performing risk assessments and developing mitigation plans and support hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvements.

  • Facilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives and attend and have participation in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training required.

  • Actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using CORE Operating System tools and support AS9100 efforts.

  • Support project management activities and based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company.

  • English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil or Aerospace Engineering and 2 years of engineering experience or in the aerospace industry or an Advanced Degree in Engineering with GPA of 3.0 or higher.

  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office applications.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Travel is up to 10%

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience with Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project, or other project management tools
