Duties & Responsibilities:

· Manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) program based on Teradyne’s Revolutionary Product Development (RPD) model · Responsible for management of the following: · Determine scope and develop work plan for each phase of the project · Determine metrics and target values appropriate for the project · Develop project budgets including labor, expense and capital; track budget/expense according to plan · Plan effort and work with functional managers to ensure the proper skill/resources are available and assigned · Manage the NPI team to complete work/tasks based on plan/schedule; make trade-offs if necessary to maintain schedule · Work with team to identify risks and mitigation plan; execute mitigation plan; escalate risks as appropriate · Drive team to meet metrics and target values on a timely basis · Be a member on the project core team; integrate NPI deliverables and dependencies with the team · Report to management on project status

Attributes and characteristics of OPM candidates:

· Good organizational skills · Analytical driver · Process oriented · Able to communicate and integrate well across functions · Ability to look ahead for planning purposes and to look at present tasks for timely completion, making trade-off dynamically, if needed · Familiar with some basic tools of PMBOK from PMI (such as scoping and WBS, scheduling, budgeting, triple constraint, risk management) · Familiarity of Teradyne RPD is a plus

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required:

· BS/BA or equivalent · 5 or more years of experience in a product development environment desirable · Previous program/project management experience and PMP certification desirable
