Wastewater Operator -- 2nd Shift 3pm - 11:30pm OMG Inc. is a leading manufacturer of fastening products and technologies for the commercial roofing and other construction industries worldwide. Position We are searching for a Wastewater Operator to oversee the daily operation of our wastewater treatment operation. This operation is part of the Electrocoat process in our Finishing Department. Reporting to the Ecoat Process Supervisor, the successful candidate will be detail-oriented, thorough, organized and have the ability to multi-task. Responsibilities Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all OMG employees Troubleshoot, maintain and optimize treatment process Guarantee use of and train on appropriate safety procedures Perform jar test procedures and operate hydraulic filter presses Precipitate metals from wastewater using coagulants, flocculants, and pH adjustment Manage solid waste and prep DOT containers for shipment Organize and track inventory of wastewater chemicals Ensure compliance with Massachusetts DEP Discharge Permit Perform other tasks as assigned Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Massachusetts Grade 2 Industrial Wastewater Operator Certification (required) (Gr 3I preferred) Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational and communication skills Proven ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment both electrically and mechanically Capable of overcoming obstacles and completing assignments in a timely manner Strong working knowledge of industrial controls and instrumentation preferred Team-oriented approach with a desire to work in a hands-on capacity Positive attitude, good judgment and excellent time management skills Strong sense of responsibility and ownership Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Compensation Starting \$28 with a 10% shift differential
