Industrial Sales Estimator Full Time Agawam, MA, US Requisition ID: 1409 Sales Estimator The Sales Estimator plays a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for assessing projects costs, crafting compelling proposals and driving sales. In this dynamic position, collaboration is key-whether it\'s working closely with internal teams or engaging external stakeholders. The Sales Estimator\'s mission? To provide precise cost estimates while ensuring the project stays within budgetary boundaries. This involves evaluating customer acoustical requirements, outlining strategic recommendations, and creating detailed specifications and drawings. But that\'s not all! Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must, especially when navigating competing deadlines and priorities in our fast-paced sales environment. And where does all this action take place? Job Responsibilities: Generate comprehensive quote proposals, submittals, including price estimates, provide layout drawings and other internally generated information including architectural prints and shop drawings. Business development skills including the ability to close sales leads for projects. Strong customer service and communication skills. Estimate project costs and ensure accurate budgeting. Schedule projects and coordinate with Project Manager. Review architect\'s plans and project specifications to ensure conformance with product. Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to give them the best possible service. Ability to perform and verify take-offs and effectively communicate the details to customers. Follow-up on quotes to increase the closing rate. Prepare estimates utilizing current estimating software and ERP System (SAGE) to track project status and communicate with the team. Maintain accurate project pipeline in current systems (Pipedrive & SAGE). Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced sales environment while maintaining accuracy and organization. Ability to work well in a team and independently including collaboration with the Business Development and Project Manager. Job Requirement: Bachelor\'s degree in a construction related field preferred, or similar field or 3-5 years\' proven experience in construction related field. Excellent time management, analytical, organizational, problem solving, communication and negotiation skills. Ability to read architectural plans and project specifications, evaluate estimates, understand measurements and make independent decisions. Strong computer skills, CRM and/or ERP Systems, and Adobe, SAGE-100 and Pipedrive experience a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Office Applications and general PC knowledge. Strong mathematical skills. Must be able to work and effectively communicate with customers, project teams, interoffice departments, and co-workers.
