Key qualifications include: six or more years of experience with a bachelor's degree, four or more years of experience with a master's degree, or two or more years with a PhD. Responsibilities: The candidate possesses extensive experience in designing fluid systems for aircraft, encompassing hydraulic and fuel systems. Their expertise extends to fluid mechanics principles, encompassing pipe flow, line loss, and both laminar and turbulent flow. They have hands-on experience with fuel system hardware, including solenoids, manifolds, valves, and pumps, and can utilize MATLAB, VBA, or similar languages for developing fuel burn maps and CG sourcing. Their familiarity with DAQ systems enables them to effectively specify test hardware such as pressure transducers, thermocouples, and flow meters. They have a proven track record in managing fuel system and aircraft CG considerations, along with developing fuel system architectures and schematics. Bonus experience includes working with turbofan/turboprop engines and running engine customer cycle decks. They excel in providing innovative yet practical solutions to complex technical challenges, acting as a key technical communicator within the company and possibly serving as the primary technical liaison with customers and regulatory agencies. They contribute to engineering meetings, program reviews, and problem-solving efforts, offering expert guidance to colleagues tackling difficult engineering issues. They anticipate future engineering needs, develop comprehensive documentation, and maintain strict confidentiality while adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
