The first Hotel Indigo to be launched in Australia, Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets comprises 145 guest rooms, a lively restaurant- Market & Meander, and the iconic rooftop bar- Merrymaker with panoramic views of Adelaide, we are setting the trend for local dining and cosmic cocktails!

We’re on the search for a Reservations Supervisor who will work independently to take ownership of the Reservations function of the hotel. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing – the Reservations Supervisor will deliver a memorable guest experience, whilst providing a positive commercial return for reservations.

The Reservations Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision and development of a part time direct report, and will need to allocate and manage their day to day.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Ensuring a holistic approach to memorable and positive guest experiences acting as both brand ambassador and trusted partner; connecting internal teams to deliver a seamless experience for guests and Group bookings

  • Delivering the daily operations of the hotel’s reservations requirements and revenue systems, maintaining inventory balance and rate parity across channels

  • Ensuring bookings are managed accurately to provide high data integrity when it comes to reporting on production, allotment materialisation and value add success

  • Responsible for management of rate loading, accuracy and tracking across systems with IHG Revenue

  • Actively managing all Groups business, complying with IHG standards, maintaining accurate block management and ensuring wash factors are considered and actioned when appropriate to assist with forecasting

  • Flexing your product and service knowledge about Hotel Indigo and all IHG hotels in your region

  • A champion for IHG One Rewards and a key driver of loyalty recognition

  • Identifying & implementing opportunities to drive incremental revenue through proactive upselling techniques

  • Planning and assigning work, establishing performance and building on capability for Reservations team members

  • Demonstrating a sound awareness of WH&S policies & procedures, ensuring strict adherence to and dissemination of information to all team members

What we need from you:

  • 2-3 years previous experience in a hotel reservations or front office environment

  • Experience using Opera Property Management System and channel management systems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments on reservations and groups function

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload individually and across the team

  • Budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, calculations and variances are utilized frequently so strong numerical understanding will be key
