The Raymond Corporation Telematics/Project Technician - Addison, TX in Addison, Texas

Malin is seeking Field Installation Technicians who will focus on Malin’s territory-wide special project installations of forklift technology systems for our logistics and warehouse customers. Through providing technical expertise and customer support, our Install Technicians create meaningful connections with customers that create long-term relationships.

What You’ll Do:

  • Install telematics products and services on customer sites – warehousing, distribution, and logistical operations.
  • Train and work with tools and test equipment to provide service of multiple different technologies and location designs.
  • Recommend products and services that resolve customers’ data and support needs.
  • Safely operate and maintain clean and organized company service vehicle.
  • Travel within territory coverage of Texas and Louisiana, and parts of Mississippi and New Mexico 4 days/week, minimum 10-year days.
  • Complete necessary safety training and follow safety standards and regulations.
  • You will work closely with a Team Lead who will serve as guide and mentor while on-the-job, and report to a Service Manager in Addison, TX.

Skillset Required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ of experience in field technology installations.
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read simple mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to work independently and with others.
  • Ability to lift up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb a ladder.
  • Professional appearance and manner.
  • Good customer service and administrative skills.
  • Ability to identify different colored wires.
  • Valid driver’s license for travel to job sites.
  • Ability to travel extensively (including overnight) both locally and nationwide.
  • Own basic tools with the ability to use them as appropriate.
  • Computer operation knowledge (Word, Excel, and test software).
  • Ability to work day shift 4 days/week, and travel regionally to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to pass drug and background screenings.
