Job Summary: As a Direct Support Professional Assistant, you will participate as a member of the team and foster an environment that supports individuals in pursuit of their hopes, dreams, and personal outcomes. You will address any situations that may arise and ensure a safe and secure environment. You will provide guidance, encouragement, support, comfort, security, and safety for the individuals we support through direct interaction. Qualifications and Requirements: Experience working with vulnerable populations preferred. Experience and/or training of at least one year with individuals with disabilities preferred. Medication administration training required (may be obtained after turning 18 years of age). First Aid training required, and CPR Certificate may be required (may be obtained after hire). Bureau of Criminal Affairs background study clearance required. Driver's license required. Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record required upon turning 18 years of age. Cannot drive an LSS vehicle until 18 years of age, completed vehicle safety training and implementation of an MVR. Ability to read, write, and use computer skills required. Basic math and problem-solving skills required. Ability to recognize boundaries. Ability to suggest and implement strategies to enhance the service. Patience, self-control, and flexibility. Computer skills that support LSS technology.
