A West Michigan Builder is looking for an experienced construction Project Manager to join their growing team. The project manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of new construction and remodeling for our multifamily, custom homes, as well as occasional condos, town homes, and commercial projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience with multifamily construction projects, have a servant attitude, always willing to help when and where needed, and is team oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of assigned construction projects.
  • Review construction plans and provide input to estimator to ensure accurate proposals for prospective clients.
  • Establish and maintain schedules and manage both the completion list and the process to turn over projects 100% complete.
  • Take care of the suppliers and subcontractors by having complete information for them as it relates to selections and schedules.
  • Maintain and manage budgets
  • Maintain safe work sites
  • Manage all client types and maintain control of the process through the entire project.
  • Weekly communication updates to clients regarding costs, decisions, work completed during the week, upcoming events, schedules, and changes.
  • Obtain and document client approval on change orders prior to incurring costs
  • Provide accounting department with accurate and timely billing information for each client
  • Attend and be a participating team member in Construction Manager meetings and Staff meetings.
  • Continuously grow in knowledge and be willing to learn from other Project Managers. Share your knowledge to help other team members reach their fullest potential.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Construction Management
  • Good understanding of all aspects of construction including site placement, basement elevations, excavation, and structural components.
  • Ability to work with structural engineers.
  • Work with complex scenarios pertaining to soils, structural components, and other details unique to high-end construction.
  • Efficiently use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
