Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Embedded Software Engineer in for Geocomp’s Products Division to join our team of highly skilled engineers in our Acton, MA headquarters. You will help our team support and enhance our existing product line of automated products that test soil and rock by upgrading and expanding on the system software components that interact with the user interfaces and the embedded controllers. This is a fast-paced product and project development environment. The ideal candidate will jump in with hands-on testing and debugging experience to enhance our existing products and develop the next generation. The successful person will be results-oriented, customer-focused, and a team player helping us meet challenging project goals.
Job Expectations:
Design, program, and document software for the functional components of our Lab Systems.
Ensure designs implement proper technologies and techniques
Assist with technical documentation
Work with software development teams, interdisciplinary engineers, IT, and other groups.
Perform bench and lab testing and qualifications of software.
Coordinate testing of software systems with the end-user and other project team members.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
BS degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
Proficient skills in C and C++ in an embedded ARM 32-bit environment
Experience with Real Time Operating Systems.
Strong system control theory experience.
Embedded network programming.
Sensor interfacing.
Working knowledge interfacing with embedded systems with desktop systems.
MATLAB experience a plus
