Summary

This position reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager and is primarily based at our Acheson facility. As part of the Production Department, the Production Foreman executes all aspects of the production process of the various products including thermo and cold plastics. The position is also responsible for the coordination with the Logistics team for both Lafrentz Road Marking and ACP Applied Products for raw materials and finished goods. Overtime, weekends, and nightshift work may also be required during the construction season.

Main Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and assign production tasks in accordance with priorities and production objectives.

• Schedule and approve work orders according to the business’ requirements.

• Plan and schedule regular maintenance, or equipment repairs, and keep corresponding records.

• Carry out the monthly physical inventory count of finished goods and raw materials in the absence of the Logistics Coordinator.

• Assist with the coordination of incoming and outbound shipments for Lafrentz and some ACP (Crafco) products, as needed:

o Coordinate with the trucking companies for pick up/drop off times and locations and letting the corresponding forklift operator know about the schedule.

o Assist with the creation of BoL’s for outgoing shipments.

o Help with the packaging of shipments and forklift duties.

o Assist with obtaining quotes for services/products needed for the process, or for outgoing/incoming products.

o Assist with administrative duties, including preparing of PO requisitions for transport and/or supplies.

• Ensure compliance with the facilities 6S requirements through daily/weekly/monthly checklists.

• Ensuring a safe, effective, and efficient operation.

• Comply with all safe working procedures and practices, and participate in the safety goals, strategies, and daily safety activities.

• Versatility, flexibility, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are required in this position.

• Any other related tasks as determined by Management, and the business’ needs.

Profile

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 2-3 years of experience
