Description:
The role involves working on projects associated with Stormwater & Drainage, Flood Alleviation, Wastewater Networks and Water distribution networks Pumping Station, Recycling Plant. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration and construction supervising & monitoring.
The role will be based in Abu Dhabi.
Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:
•\tTechnical Delivery:
\tInteracting with clients and contractor staff to determine and verify project requirements.
\tPreparing inspection reports and site records.
\tPerforming civil and structural tests.
\tProviding general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
\tIdentifying non-conforming works, generating reports and corrective actions, and coordinating responses.
\tPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
•\tCollaboration and working as part of a team.
\tWork in conjunction with engineers to solve project design problems, support to performing basic design calculations as required.
\tConduct technical, feasibility studies and site investigations.
\tLiaison with teams working remotely from other parts of the world to facilitate completion of tasks, and project.
\tExcellent verbal and written English communication skills.
\tExperienced in the survey work with modern instruments and in keeping site measurement records
•\tClient Service Management
\tInternal and external client liaison
\tAbility to build and maintain lasting and positive relationships.
\tExperience in utility diversions and management.
•\tFollow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
\tComplete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
\tDesign for safety, i.e., Construction Design Management.
•\tOther duties as requested from time to time by the Assistant Resident Engineer.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree in Engineering from a recognized institute to the approval of the Engineer.
Having four (4) years of work experience
Experience in miscellaneous Drainage Work Projects.
Experience in SWS Infrastructure project is advantage.
