Stantec Civil Inspector (Drainage Work Projects) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Description:

The role involves working on projects associated with Stormwater & Drainage, Flood Alleviation, Wastewater Networks and Water distribution networks Pumping Station, Recycling Plant. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration and construction supervising & monitoring.

The role will be based in Abu Dhabi.

Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:

•\tTechnical Delivery:

\tInteracting with clients and contractor staff to determine and verify project requirements.

\tPreparing inspection reports and site records.

\tPerforming civil and structural tests.

\tProviding general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.

\tIdentifying non-conforming works, generating reports and corrective actions, and coordinating responses.

\tPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

•\tCollaboration and working as part of a team.

\tWork in conjunction with engineers to solve project design problems, support to performing basic design calculations as required.

\tConduct technical, feasibility studies and site investigations.

\tLiaison with teams working remotely from other parts of the world to facilitate completion of tasks, and project.

\tExcellent verbal and written English communication skills.

\tExperienced in the survey work with modern instruments and in keeping site measurement records

•\tClient Service Management

\tInternal and external client liaison

\tAbility to build and maintain lasting and positive relationships.

\tExperience in utility diversions and management.

•\tFollow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.

\tComplete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.

\tDesign for safety, i.e., Construction Design Management.

•\tOther duties as requested from time to time by the Assistant Resident Engineer.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree in Engineering from a recognized institute to the approval of the Engineer.

  • Having four (4) years of work experience

  • Experience in miscellaneous Drainage Work Projects.

  • Experience in SWS Infrastructure project is advantage.
