Job Description

Senior BIM Modeller (Highway Design)

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Job Summary

The Senior BIM Modelller (Highway Design) shall be literate in CAD (AutoCAD and Microstation), CIVIL 3D, Infraworks and Navisworks latest versions and shall have the following skills

  • Responsible for producing and verifying Highway design and drawings, including various elements like general arrangements, plan profiles, cross-sections, standard details, site clearances, and corridors.

  • Developing the BIM model of design (as per the required LOD and BIM standards) using vertical and horizontal alignments provided by design team through creating the required curb return alignments, corridors and solids including but not limited to (Pavement layers, curbstones, barriers, retaining walls, cycle tracks, walkways, road markings and signs).

  • Using Dynamo to program various scripts to automate the repetitive tasks.

  • Perform the clash analysis and resolve the clashes with respect to the road elements.

  • Collaborate with other disciplines to resolve design challenges and ensure project success.

  • Prepare MIDP, TIDP and contribute to the BIM execution plan.

  • Work closely with other design disciplines to maintain overall design integrity and adhere to the BIM Execution Plan and project workflow.

  • Comply with BIM content standards and development procedures, with strong communication and writing skills.

  • Strictly adhere to quality checks

  • Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, and road design engineers.

  • Prepare the schedule and plan the works for completing within the timelines and allotted budgets.

  • Should be able to interact effectively with clients regarding technical matters.

Minimum Requirements

  • Good working knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD and Microstation), CIVIL 3D, Infraworks and Navisworks.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience.

  • Understanding of engineering standards, codes of practice and local authorities' guidelines in Abu Dhabi. Also, should be conversant with International design standards like AASHTO and Saudi design standards and guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited university.
