Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a1st ShiftJourneyman Electricianto join our team at our Abilene West facility in Abilene, KS.

This role works Tuesday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., plus occasional overtime as required. Some on-call responsibilities may be required as well.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Repairing critical equipment, performing preventive and predictive maintenance
  • Willing to learn and/or work on mechanical/electrical hardware CNC and PLC troubleshooting
  • Must demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills
  • Maintains equipment logs on assigned equipment, recording pertinent information about downtime and maintenance problems
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and perform repairs
  • Ability to perform electronic repairs used in electrical and mechanical maintenance technician work assignments
  • Provide leadership to ensure all safety and environmental procedures are maintained
  • Help with scheduling down time for machine repairs or preventive maintenance
  • Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
  • Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must possess an electrical license
  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and computer skills preferred
  • Provide tools for the trade
