Brown-Forman Glendronach Visitor Centre Team Member - Fixed Term 31st October 2024 in Aberdeenshire, United Kingdom

Reporting to the Homeplace Supervisor, the Visitor Centre Team Member will host brand experiences including tours of The Glendronach Distillery and tastings, delivering information confidently to guests of the homeplace. As part of a small team must be willing to take on a number of tasks and duties including working in each area of the visitor centre including the tasting bar and retail. Communication and Team work are required to succeed in this role.

  • Welcoming guests to Glendronach in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Hosting tours of the production areas and warehousing.

  • Confidently present whisky tastings.

  • Promote the sale of our products to guests including whisky and branded items.

  • Prepare and serve drinks including cocktails, coffee and soft drinks behind the bar.

  • Ensure compliance with daily checks and requirements

  • Ensures uniform application and consistency of Company policies and procedures and develops good employee relations.

  • Ensure the Homeplace is kept clean, tidy and free from hazards at all times.

  • Drive safety initiatives. Ensure that safe working conditions exist and that all programs and policies are effectively implemented and practiced.

  • Ensure compliance with BF quality policies, standards, and systems.

  • May be required to represent the brand at events off property.

Required Experience & Education:

  • Face to face customer service or retail experience

  • Must be fluent in English

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Confidence in dealing with people from all walks of life in a warm and friendly manner.

  • Strong time management and organisational skills

  • Be able to prioritise tasks in a methodical manner.

  • Have the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision

  • Be at team player

  • Keen attention to detail, with a commitment to follow through and follow-up

  • Must be willing to work a rotating schedule to cover a 7-day/week operation.
