CACI is seeking a Journeyman DSP Engineer for our Aberdeen Proving Team. As a team member of the team, you will get to develop and program software defined radios and integrate software into Open Architecture Software Frameworks, such as PHOTON, MORA, etc. as well as participate in reverse engineering, prototyping, system demonstrations, and proof of concepts for systems to help the Army and other DoD entities

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Design and implement solutions software defined radios

  • Develop future adaptation of signal processing solutions to new signal types

  • Reverse engineer existing RF signal processing solutions

  • Help the Army define and implement CMOSS/MORA standards and solutions for the intelligence community

  • Obtain a Polygraph

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering with 5+ years of work experience

  • Familiar with non-windows operating systems, such as Linux based OS (ex. CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)

  • Familiar with developing signal processing algorithms in C/C++ based or straight math descriptions

  • Familiar with signal processing techniques including energy detection, channelization, phase coherency, Doppler compensation, demodulation, etc. (spread spectrum signals/systems in particular)

  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of C/C++11, Python, TCP/IP and UDP networking, multi-threading and inter-process-communications (IPC).

  • Experience and knowledge of writing maintainable code.

  • Experience with software development environment, Linux, CMake, GIT, Eclipse or other IDE.

  • Experience using Linux, and bash scripting.

  • Knowledge of service-based architecture, including SOAP and REST.

  • Knowledge of digital signal processing and software defined radio.

  • Familiarity with Modular Open Radio Frequency Architecture (MORA) and VITA 49 is a plus.

  • Familiarity with C5ISR Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS) is a plus

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Master’s in software engineering

  • Experience with MATLAB filter design

  • Familiarity with Git version control

  • Familiar with GNU Radios

  • Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs

  • Self-starter with good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills

  • Experience with radio frequency (RF) communications and/or radar systems

$75,200 - 158,100 USD
