VES, LLC Senior MBSE Systems Engineer in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland

VES, LLC seeks aSenior MBSE Systems Engineertoemploy system engineering practices and processes across the VES Portfolio of projects.This position can be performed remotely, however there will be occasional travel to Timonium, MD.

The Senior MBSE Systems Engineer will:

  • Develop operational concepts, requirements, and architectural designs within a model based system engineering environment.
  • Support the evolution of system architectures, conduct and analyze requirements flow down, and propose verification methodologies and mitigation approaches.
  • Conductmission analysis to identify technical requirements and interfaces, provide analysis of alternatives, guide development, and evaluate expected performance against requirements and mission needs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including US Government officials, Military Officers, Other Contractors, and end users.
  • Execute risk management processes and methods to identify and adjudicate program risk; Conduct analysis to identify program risk areas and develop Courses of Action to mitigate/remediate identified program and technical risks
  • Develop Requirements Traceability Compliance Matrices (RTCM) to track requirements throughout the entire project lifecycle and ensure alignment with deliverables, project management, and risk management activities
  • Develop risk models, reports and risk assessments for various projects.
  • Develop briefings and assessments for a variety of audiences, and convey information in a clear and articulate manner to Government leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineer or a related technical field from an accredited university and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Experience with systems engineering and modeling tools (e.g. MagicDraw, Enterprise Architect, etc.).
  • Experience in reliability, maintainability, operability analysis and execution.
  • Experience with both the DoDD 5000.01 systems engineering process and Agile development framework.
  • Experience with system safety certification processes. (Preferably one or more of these standards ISO 26262, DO-178, FACE, MIL-STD-882 Rev. E)
  • System architecture, design, and development/integration experience.
  • Experience with risk management processes, component specification development, and the entire product life cycle.
  • Knowledge of current systems engineering and integration tools and methodologies.
