CACI is seeking a RF Programmer to support the U.S. Army at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. You will be part of an integrated team to maintain effectiveness in defeating worldwide electronic warfare and signals threats while using your problem-solving skills and able to work with a team while in support of on-going projects managed from the Communications Electronic Command Software Engineering Center’s Army Reprogramming Analysis Team (ARAT) Program Office.

If you have a background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline with a desire to work on a critical large-scale contract we would like to speak with you.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Support reprogramming efforts for aircraft radar receivers that are included in ARAT’s sustainment portfolio.

  • Support the test and analysis of simulated RF threats, validating these tests using actual aircraft radar receivers in the lab, providing reprogramming updates for the receivers, and then supporting the dissemination of these updates to the end-users.

  • Support the full life cycle of activities for associated Army software systems and interoperability with numerous hardware systems.

More About the Role:

The primary focus of this position is to provide Radar Receiver Reprogramming – Electrical/Computer Engineer support for assigned ground and airborne Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS) as part of the Army Reprogramming Analysis Team - Program Office (ARAT-PO) efforts for providing Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) and Post-production Software Support (PPSS) pursuant to Army regulations.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship is required to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience

  • Physics background/education with understanding of RF theory and fundamentals, wave propagation, etc

  • Hands-on electronics testing experience, to include hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing experience

  • Experience with RF testing equipment to include spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes

  • Ability to parse intelligence databases, identify/collect relevant parametric data, and manipulate/format data for entry/reprogramming into radar receivers/processors

  • Ability to analyze test results and validate findings against known metrics/parameters

  • Ability to de-bug/re-evaluate data entry/reprogramming input based on analysis of test results

  • Ability to complete tasks/projects with great attention to detail

  • Ability to solve engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area to which assigned

  • Comfortable using standard Windows and Office tools

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • An active TS/SCI Level Clearance

  • Working experience of radar signal characteristics

  • Understanding of communications protocols and physical hardware connections

  • Proficient with MS Excel

  • Proficient with Matlab

  • Experience supporting Electronic Warfare (EW) or Electromagnetic (EM) projects

  • Understanding of the cost and financial implications of engineering efforts

  • Understanding of risk management and mitigation

  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral

  • Able to digest new technical information at a rapid pace for practical use

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Flexibility to work with changing requirements as developed and communicated from customer feedback

  • Eagerness to improve efficiency and streamline work procedures
