MAG Network Engineer in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland

Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking an experienced Network Engineer who will support the delivery of radio communications and networking capabilities through program integration, collaborative requirements development, and effective planning for testing and fielding. The Network Engineer will coordinate Communications and Networking requirements with multiple program offices and manage a multi-disciplinary stakeholder IPT. Network Engineer will plan the development and delivery of communications and networking requirements for the full QRC/POR lifecycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Perform systems administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of systems and applications for technology development and integration.

  • Information Systems Management and configuration of Enterprise and Army Mission Command Systems.

  • Systems Integration and configuration of Army Tactical Information Systems and Networks.

  • Develop, interpret, and provide technical guidance based on DoD and Army Policies.

  • Employ information systems across various environment to include enterprise, tactical, and cloud.

  • Familiar with Army Tactical Networks and Mission Partner Environments (MPE).

  • Familiar with Army Cybersecurity policies, practices, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

  • Plans, organizes, and evaluates work of participating members and organizations that have relationships to the project. Applies a broad knowledge of technical capabilities to accomplish the Program Office mission and assigned projects.

  • Reviews program documentation and makes recommendations concerning long-range plans, policies, and schedules to improve the programmatic and technical effectiveness of the capability.

  • Advises project management staff.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

  • Recent program/product manager or operations assignments supporting delivery of program of record or operational needs systems.

  • Ability to work on multi-functional teams.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, proven verbal and written communications, and the ability to work on multi-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to self-start and multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.

Clearance

  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.

Experience

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively more complex experience in network design, development, and documentation.

  • Minimum 4 Years experience in Army acquisition program management or operations.

Education

  • Minimum level of education required is a Bachelor’s Degree. Four (4) additional years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education level.

Desired Requirements

  • Active TS with SCI eligibility is preferred.

  • Army Zero Trust.

  • Cybersecurity requirements for systems integration.

  • Software/Systems Development.

  • Systems Messaging Standards/Schema's.

  • Familiarity with acquisition lifecycle management.

  • DAWIA Certification.

Other Qualifications

Ability to work in office/lab/field environments

Ability to travel 25%
