The Director – Capture, Operations & Growth will be responsible for all duties within the areas of business growth and customer relationship management supporting Programs as assigned across the company. As the Director you will lead capture efforts, including supplier and contract partnerships, technical development, and customer relationships that align with company objectives. The position requires engagement and development of key government and industry relationships. The expectation is to maintain a network of decision-makers to help shape and influence new business opportunities. Job Description : The Director of Capture. Operations & Growth will play a critical role in driving growth for Nexagen within the defense sector, specifically in serving the needs of the U.S. Army, Aberdeen Proving Ground customer space. This role demands a combination of strategic thinking, relationship-building skills, and an in-depth understanding of the Army’s procurement processes and requirements. You will be responsible for leading the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities. This role involves building and nurturing key relationships, understanding the Army's mission, needs, and priorities, and developing a business growth plan to align with the organization's goals and objectives. You will lead capture efforts, including supplier and contract partnerships, technical development, and customer relationships. Position Responsibilities: Manage distinct U.S. Army customer/business areas as defined by awarded opportunities and existing relationships. Example customer experience includes PEO C3T, PEO IEW&S, PEO EIS, etc. Forecast and develop a pipeline of new business opportunities and build a customer portfolio to effect monetary and personnel growth within the company. Lead Capture efforts to secure new contracts across a broad spectrum of DoD and Federal markets. Develop strategies including win themes; management solution; technical solution; teaming; pricing and assess competition and present decision gate briefings to management. Quickly understand what is required to win, develop compelling value propositions, and present business cases to leadership. Proposal development includes managing process, writing proposal responses, and working with the proposal and pricing team to develop and deliver compelling and compliant proposals. Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and functional organizations involved in program pursuit. Assist senior leaders to strategize growth opportunities, analyze opportunities to aid in bid/no-bid decisions, and contribute to company proposal development efforts as required. Develop and maintain strong relationships with teaming partners and industry associations to help drive partnerships. Support program execution as work is awarded and manage a portfolio of contracts ensuring quality customer delivery. Contribute to the overall development of internal processes to help improve contract execution, quality delivery, maintain positive customer relationships, support employee engagement and performance. Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with the customer and program management team. Willing and able to travel as required. Qualifications: Proven work experience in Capture Management. Established understanding of Government Sales and Federal Contracting. Experience working with Department of Defense and Federal Agencies. Ability to complete work within given deadlines with little supervision. Ability to carry out skillful negotiations. Strong communication, analytical and financial skills. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Active security clearance or ability to obtain a one. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Minimum of 15 years of capture and program management experience working as a Prime Government Contractor supporting U.S. Army programs/contracts. PMP Certification is a plus. Prior experience working with Government acquisition personnel and organizations preferred. Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills; planning, organization, and time management.
