[[POSITION SUMMARY [[The Broadband Internet Technician installs and repairs internet/Wi-Fi fiber-optic communication networks and services, including broadband, managed services, phones, digital TV service, cameras, surveillance, and security systems. Install, maintain, and service residential and business networks, fiber-optic cables, Wi-Fi, and customer-owned equipment.
Splice and test fiber-optic cable.
Use
test equipment such as Ethernet testers, Wi-Fi analyzers, cable fault locators, OTDR, fusion splicers, and volt meters.
Maintain and update customer network information for accurate billing records.
Consult customers to determine problems and acceptable resolutions.
Work safely and comply with all safety and company policies set forth by Red River Communications.
Assist contractors working near buried facilities - where necessary.
These are not the sole responsibilities; you will perform all other duties as needed and assigned.
Hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Must participate in the on-call rotation schedule.
