At Independence Hall, we provide client-centered care and recovery-oriented treatment within a therapeutic environment. We are seeking passionate and innovative individuals to join our behavioral health programming.

We are looking for innovative staff for our licensed Substance Abuse Treatment programs, which are open to both veterans and the community. Our programs provide client-centered care and recovery-oriented treatment within a therapeutic environment.

This position collaborates as a part of an interdisciplinary treatment team within substance abuse treatment programs. The position provides guidance and counseling support as needed by overseeing and accompanying the patient in various program activities to ensure conformance with program schedules, standards, and policies.

We currently have part time shifts available.

The hourly base rate starts at $20.00 an hour. There is a $2 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift and an additional $2 shift differential for weekends!

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY:

  • Works with the patient and treatment team to develop substance abuse treatment goals and interventions, based on client's substance abuse/mental health history and current needs.

  • Provides support, resources, education, and both internal and external referrals for services.

  • Oversees client activities to ensure compliance with program activities and agency policies. Provides guidance as needed.

  • Facilitates psychoeducational client groups and group activities.

  • Provides crisis intervention and able to follow specific procedures in emergency situations.

  • Attends and participates in all meetings and maintains audit-ready patient records and program-specific forms in a timely manner, as required.

  • Completes individually assigned program-specific duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

    WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Associates degree, LADCII, or LADC Assistant highly preferred.

  • Experience or education in substance abuse treatment and mental health disorders required. 2+ years of experience working in substance abuse treatment/mental health disorders is preferred.

  • Yoga instruction, art therapy, or meditation training is strongly preferred.

  • MAP, Narcan, or CPI training and certifications are strongly preferred.

  • Must be able to successfully pass a CORI/Background records check.

  • Must be willing to submit to and successfully pass a drug test.

  • Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.
