Job Description

Reporting to Therapeutic Area Lead, the responsibilities of Medical Manager will be as follows;

•Ensure medical compliance while aligning with international and domestic business development strategies.

•Provide scientific & medical expertise to support the related brand team and contribute proactively to the successful implementation of brand plans.

•Identify opportunities and medical needs/ requests propose strategies and manage execution of agreed strategic medical projects linked with brand strategies.

•Establish and maintain professional and credible relationships with key thought leaders / external experts and academic centers; this will involve participating in scientific congresses, coordinating advisory boards, round-table meetings, discussion forums etc.

•Maintain a balance of working as a medical strategy builder at the head office and conduct F2F&online scientific interactions in the field with identified KOLs on a regular basis to achieve medical excellence.

•Support the development of and Review of the content of promotional & internal/external training materials. Ensure the medical/scientific content is correct and fully compliant with AbbVie’s internal policies and guidelines.

•Provide medical trainings to internal & external partners (ie speaker briefings).

•Provide response to questions and requests for medical information from the Medical Community and the sales team, based on practical and theoretical knowledge, utilizing all available resources, including PV & complication management.

•Jointly work within brand team in preparation and participation in scientific meetings and events.

•Screen relevant literature and other information from relevant scientific societies meetings and conferences and develop summaries of key messages for use within the Company

Qualifications

•University degree in Medicine or Pharmacy

•Min. 1 year medical affairs experience in pharma industry

•Fluency in English

•Experience in developing and maintaining expert knowledge for the assigned therapeutic area, and in medical research in general.

•Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment and the role of Medical Affairs to advance the medical & scientific objectives of a pharmaceutical company.

•Demonstrated expertise in the scientific methods applied to clinical research and current legislative/regulatory controls applicable to this research.
