Cherokee Town & Country Club is seeking Culinary Students that are passionate about the industry and looking to complete an internship at one of the top clubs in the country. The right candidate will be someone who always looks to have consistent superior experiences for Club members and guests. This individual will work under the supervision of the Pool Snack Bar Culinary Supervisor. Our Pool Snack Bar Cooks are responsible for working the Pool Snack Bar line as well as prepping, ensuring product freshness, and maintaining a clean workstation.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Prepares food as ordered while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

  • Coordinate with the snack bar front of house staff to ensure that food orders are properly prepared and delivered in a timely manner.

  • Keep work area and equipment clean, including but not limited to cleaning pots and pans; wiping down kitchen work stations, emptying and cleaning waste receptacles; sweeping and mopping floors.

    Requirements

  • Candidates should be completing college education in a culinary field.

  • Serve safe certification is preferred, and/or has a sound understanding of sanitation practices

  • Able to understand and communicate in English

  • 1-year prior restaurant experience preferred.

  • Candidates with experience in quick food service preferred.
