Oracle Senior Software Developer (Cloud) in ZAPOPAN, Mexico

Job Description

This role requires deep technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to start fast.

You will be responsible for solving algorithmically sophisticated problems, working on front and backend services that can handle extensive workloads in a distributed multi-tenant architecture, applying serverless computing, auto-scaling, microservices architecture on Kubernetes, and ML/AI-based predictive algorithms.

Our projects span across multiple OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) services like - compute, network, storage, OCI logging service, OCI events service, Kubernetes, etc. and you will work closely and learn from a large engineering community with direct interaction with project leadership and customers.

As an early engineer, you will get 360-degree experience in all aspects of the service lifecycle. As innovators who adopt new technology, you will be empowered to choose the right highly scalable and available technology to address sophisticated problems and will directly influence product design.

Responsibilities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript)

  • 2+ years of experience with data structures or algorithms

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience

  • Prior experience in working on public cloud (Oracle Cloud, AWS, GPC, Azure)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science

  • Requires strong communication and writing skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Docker/Podman containerization and Kubernetes.

  • Experience with REST/RPC API design and development

  • Experience with event-driven systems like Kafka

  • Knowledge of Linux and its administration with scripting capability to automate repetitive tasks. Linux kernel experience is a plus

  • Practical experience writing large-scale web applications including architectural decisions, language choices, frameworks, and implementation.
