Advanced Technology Services Engine Room Operator in Yeovil, United Kingdom

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operate plant room equipment to customer requirements.

  • Maintain plant room equipment. This includes operational checks, routine maintenance, and reactive maintenance.

  • Carry out PPM schedules as necessary and planned work orders as required.

  • Assist visiting specialist engineers when necessary.

  • Plan / prioritize workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time.

  • Update records in CMMS.

  • Provide support and back up for other members of department as needed by site leadership.

  • Assure compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards.

  • Complete on the job training for career development.

  • Provide inputs in CI activities - processes, results and cost savings.

  • Follow all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Behaviors Required:

Essential KSAs

  • Must be able to use basic hand tools.

Desirable KSAs:

  • Must be able to use basic hand tools.

  • Knowledge of compressed air, vacuum or steam systems

  • Experience as a plant room operator / maintenance engineer / service engineer operating in an industrial environment

  • High degree of professionalism.

  • Commitment to confidentiality.

  • Good organizational skills.
