Overview

M Health Fairview is looking for an MRI Technologist at M Health Fairview Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN. We are known for our award-winning heart, stroke and cancer care. Imaging Technologists deliver services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.

The MRI Technologist position provides services to patients and physicians by crafting patient specific diagnostic images. Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care supplies and equipment.

0.01FTE - this is a casual position

Day/Evening shifts

Responsibilities Job Description

Maintains patient care

  • Performs examinations

  • Identifies relevant data from images accurately

  • Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional

  • Ensures patient safety and emergency preparedness

  • Documents patient information

Ensures proper film identification on all images

  • Accurately completes computer functions-edits, status changes, logging

  • Accurate film marking and jacket preparation

  • Achieves quality diagnostic images by use of accurate positioning of patients and correct operation of equipment

Performs training and education duties

  • Participates in the orientation of new employees

  • Responsible for the training of students

Maintains equipment

  • Correctly operates and optimizes the equipment

  • Understands the structure visualized and its significance

Qualifications

Required

ARRT Certification

Meet MRI Safety Screen requirements

Basic Life Support (BLS) - from American Red Cross or American Heart Association

Preferred

Additional education in Imaging or Healthcare

Two years of MRI experience

MRI Certification within 18 months of hire or transfer to the role
