HOOVER BUILDERS Carpenter or Laborer in Williamsport, Pennsylvania

Local contractor is need of a Carpenter. The employer will also accept a laborer who is willing to learn! 

The following duties and requirements are for the carpenter position. If a laborer applies, minimal experience is necessary. Pay will reflect experience. 

Carpenter Requirements:

  • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
  • Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
  • Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
  • Install structures or fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, or hardware, using carpenters' hand or power tools.

Laborer Requirements:

  • Required to have at least 1 year experience as a residential carpenter
  • Framing experience
  • Building additions and remodeling experience
  • Must have own hand tools
  • Valid PA drivers license, transportation

     Pay based on experience.
