RESPONSIBILITIES: * Performs dimensional inspection of castings using conventional/mechanical metrology methods including measuring, data processing, and analysis * Reviews/interprets complete blueprints of airfoil castings in preparation for inspection * Works with Quality and Product Engineers to develop inspection plans * Maintains a positive work atmosphere and effectively communicates with customers, co-workers and supervisors * Other duties as specified by Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum of A.S. in mechanical engineering and/or extensive background in airfoils layout inspection or tool building (minimum 3 years airfoils related tool and die layout or airfoils casting layout experience) * Significant knowledge of mathematics including trigonometry and algebra * Must be thoroughly versed on reading and interpreting complex airfoils casting blueprints * Must have considerable knowledge of mechanical metrology equipment and layout gages/fixtures * Proficiency in verbal and written communication * Strong team orientation, sense of project ownership, and attention to detail * Computer skills required with background in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point) * 3-D CAD modeling (UG NX4/6), 3-D inspection software (Geomagic Qualify), and 2-D digital optical measuring equipment (RAM Optical) experience strongly recommended * Prior experience in programming a CMM desirable (Valysis, WinCMES, PC-DMIS) * Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
