Primary Responsibilities

In the role of NY/NJ CCC Hudson Valley Project Executive, we'll count on you to:

  • Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of construction management and inspection services primarily for transportation projects.
  • Have supervisory responsibility over staff which may include Resident Engineers, Inspectors and other construction management personnel.
  • Staffing, mentoring and fostering the professional development of staff are other responsibilities of the Project Executive.
  • Responsible to coordinate staffing and workload through the entire project development to complete project tasks within schedule and budget.
  • Play a proactive role in identifying, recruiting and developing appropriate staff to build HDR's capabilities.
  • Will also be responsible for business development and to identify and pursue project opportunities for these services and assisting on proposals.
  • Serve as a leader to help grow the construction management practice in the Hudson Valley, including in Transportation and Water
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or closely related field or combination or education and relevant experience.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer
  • 15 years of progressive Construction Management / Resident Engineering Inspection Services experience.
  • Experience in various aspects of construction planning and management, including but not limited to estimating, bidding, preparing and administering task orders and subcontracts, scheduling, cost control, etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple field projects along with supervising multiple HDR field inspection projects at one time.
  • Ability to prepare and submit technical and cost proposals.
  • Experience with construction management software packages and Microsoft Office, Primavera, etc.
  • Must have strong people skills and the ability to constructively interact with others, including the design team.
  • Experience working with or familiarity with NYSDOT and NYSTA preferred.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
  • Candidates who reside locally in the Huson Valley area are preferred.
