Keystone Surveying and Mapping, Inc. CAD Technician 3 in Wexford, Pennsylvania

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Performs all the necessary tasks during the initial setup of drawing packages, with a focus on adherence to CAD standards and data management procedures with an emphasis to the oil and gas market sector
  • Completes design tasks associated with production drawings at a high level with minimal assistance
  • Create preliminary site layout plans and preliminary concept plans
  • Ability to generate pipeline alignment sheets, as specified by the engineer and/or client
  • Incorporate rough draft sketches, drawings, redlines, etc. into the plan sets as provided
  • Creates design layout of utility facilities including plans, details, cross sections and material lists
  • Performs tasks including Block/Linetype creation, Surface Modeling, Alignments & Profiles
  • Ability to work with engineers to develop designs in 3D and 2D
  • Should be familiar with Civil 3D Style Editing
  • Assist in training new employees and providing detailed insight as necessary
  • Will perform QA/QC on all work

     

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

 

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work independently on projects, manage time, and prioritize assignments while working on multiple projects
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written skills and attention to detail
  • 3+ years of experience in CAD
  • Associate Degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Design (CADD) or Certificate from a technical school
  • Candidate must have 5-7 years of relevant experience, with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Plant 3D as primary software
  • Must have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have good math, communication, and organization skills

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
