Eversource Energy Associate Labor Relations Consultant in Westwood, Massachusetts

Our Team:

We have an amazing opportunity to join our Labor Relations Team as an experienced Associate Labor Relations Consultant.

In this dynamic role, you are responsible for working closely with Labor Consultants to support Operations management. Assist and support the implementation of Labor Relations (LR) initiatives, programs and practices that achieve Company goals, promote positive labor/management relations, and treat employees with dignity and respect.

The role is based in Westwood, MA.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist the Labor Relations Team in the implementation, administration and communication of labor and employee relation policies, practices, and strategies for the Company.
  • Work collaboratively with the Human Resources support team and managers in the formation of proposals to be submitted during contract negotiations or for mutual gains bargaining. Assists in the development of negotiation strategies.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals to be submitted during contract negotiations or for mutual gains bargaining.
  • Support the Labor Relations Consultants in the grievances and claims process.
  • Support the preparation of union-management contract negotiations.
  • Support the Labor Relations Consultants with disciplinary hearings, grievances, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Support preparation for joint labor management committees.
  • Develop and maintains positive relationships with Union leadership and Eversource management.

Technical Knowledge/Skills:

  • Knowledgeable of the National Labor Relations Act and other governmental laws and regulations affecting labor relations.
  • Knowledge of other applicable employment laws, rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and practices related to areas such as employee relations, benefit administration, compensation, and performance management.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, related discipline or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Human Resources; preferably Employee and Labor Relations.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency storm assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between our offices on occasion for meetings.
  • Work is performed primarily in an office environment which requires sitting at a desk and using a personal computer.

Compensation and Benefits:

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position starts at $80,960.00 to $89,950.00, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.
