Structural CAD Tech - Denver, CO Westwood Professional Services, Inc. Westwood Professional Services, Inc.is seeking a Structural CAD Tech to join our team in our Denver, CO office. As a CAD Technician, you would be responsible for using standard drafting practices and procedures with a strong attention to detail to assist with tasks related to a variety of engineering and construction projects. The CAD technician will modify and create design plans and drawings using computer aided design (CAD) programs under the direction of a designer or engineer.Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

Create, edit, and modify CAD drawings (details and plan sets) for engineering projects. Apply Westwood Company CAD standards, practices, and procedures in creating and modifying CAD drawings. Collaborate with engineers and other drafters in a team environment. Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and documents. Typical drafting will consist of:

Steel Structure Fabrication Drawings

Steel Connection Details

Concrete Foundation Detail Drawings

Concrete Anchorage Details

Importation of tables and calculations such as BOMs to be applied to each drawing. Understand & meet project schedule, and quality requirements with accuracy and efficiency. Self-checks all work performed to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to internal review. Actively assist in the delivery of a complete project. This may include phone or e-mail correspondence, attending meetings, and other project documents required for project completion. Provide interdepartmental support (Civil, Electrical, Substation, T&D, etc.) as required.

Required Experience

High School graduate or equivalent Technical degree or certification in AutoCAD Experience and knowledge of latest version of AutoCAD (3 Years of AutoCAD experience preferred) Previous experience drafting structural steel and concrete drawings (1-3 Years of industry experience is preferred). Self-motivated, detailed and quality oriented. Able to handle multiple projects concurrently and maintain flexibility to changes in work assignments.

Compensation Range Minimum

USD $25.00/Hr.

Compensation Range Maximum

USD $30.00/Hr.
