MPB CONSTRUCTION, LLC Laborer in Westlake, Louisiana

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Laborer. As a vital member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for assisting in the installation of water/sewer pipes in various construction projects. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

  1. Pipe Installation: Assist in the laying and installation of water pipes according to project specifications and blueprints. This includes digging trenches, positioning pipes, and ensuring proper alignment and grade.
  2. Material Handling: Transport pipes, fittings, and other materials to the work site using appropriate tools and equipment. Safely load and unload materials as needed.
  3. Site Preparation: Prepare work sites by clearing debris, leveling surfaces, and ensuring proper drainage to facilitate efficient pipe installation.
  4. Quality Control: Inspect pipes and fittings for defects or damage before installation. Report any issues to supervisors and assist in making necessary repairs or replacements.
  5. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
  6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including supervisors, operators, and fellow laborers, to complete projects on time and within budget.
  7. Clean-Up: Assist in cleaning and maintaining work sites at the end of each day, including proper disposal of waste materials and securing tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in construction or general labor preferred.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors and experienced team members.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
